If I were to describe one interesting thing about lotus flowers: in Thai culture, they fulfill mainly a religious function. If you see someone carrying lotus flowers in their hands, they are most likely not going to devote themselves to their love or change their interior decoration. Rather, you will find them in home shrines, temples, or at altars for ancestral spirits.
But I personally prefer to let them swim in a large bowl full of water – I call it “Lake of Immediate Peace”. However, if you prefer a lotus pond that you can eat – this is also the way to go.
